Q.. Do I have to buy candles for the vigil?
A: That is up to you as an Ambassador. You may purchase them for your
participants if you wish. Most tell their group BYOC (bring your
own candle)
Q. Do I have to play the song "Cry" by Michael Jackson?
A. Yes. You are responsible as
an Ambassador for playing the song. (use a cd player, Mp3, iPod
) whatever means you want. If you are just a participant your
Ambassador takes care of playing the song
Q. Do you have a template for a flyer?
A. No, you can copy the information from the website and add YOUR
email/city information to flyers. The only thing I will send as a
template is the press release.
Q. Do I have to register an gmail or googlemail emal address?
A. YES. The reason? Each year we may have different Ambassadors for
your city. If you choose not to re register your city and be an
Ambassador again, we need to use gmail for each year.. That is why we
have the registration email at gmail / googlemail. It's just much
easier.
Q. How often do I need to check this email?
A. Weekly from the time you register your email account. #1. I will
contact you sporadically with information. #2. People from your local
area depend on reaching you to find out more information and get
involved.
Q. Can I drop out of being an Ambassador at any time?
A. Sure. I can't make you stay on, but please don't register if you
aren't dedicated to being reached, and if you think you can't
dedicate the time (do remember it doesn't take as much time as you
might guess) If you sign up as an Ambassador for a city, and then
drop out and/or not check your email then people around your city
are left wondering why they can't get in touch with you.
PLEASE DON'T REGISTER unless you are committed to checking your email
once a week and doing something in Michael's honor!!
Q. If I try to reach my Ambassador and I don't get a reply what do I
do?
A. You write to me Amber, at Worldcry@mjworldcry.com If for ANY
reason I can not contact the Ambassador you will then have the option
of becoming the Ambassador for your city IF you so wish.
Q. Is this free? Does it cost anything?
A. That's the great thing about MJWorldCry. If you can't afford to
visit California, or Gary IN, you can stay right in your own city. It's
free. Even for Ambassadors. You don't have to spend any money to
recruit fellow MJ fans or humanitarians. (unless of course you want to
take out an ad in your local paper(s) which is up to you) Passing out
flyers, free public service announcements at the radio stations, and
community online calendars are a great way to get the world out. Don't
forget about craigslist etc. So there isn't cost unless as
an Ambassador you decide to spend money on recruiting. Even your venue
(place to hold the vigil) can be donated by a business for the
vigil. It's all about asking the owners. And PLEASE get
permission we aren't responsible for your group getting in
trouble for trespassing. Seek permission ALWAYS! We always need
to be aware of making a good impression. What we do reflects back on
Michael.
